Semmes Murphey Welcomes Three New Physicians as Practice Continues to Grow

Semmes Murphey welcomed three new physicians this summer, adding to the practice’s depth in spine surgery, neurovascular care, and interventional pain management.

The additions reflect continued growth across several key areas of care and strengthen Semmes Murphey’s ability to serve patients throughout the community.

Dr. Joseph Scott Hudson is a neurosurgeon specializing in complex, minimally invasive, and spinal deformity surgery. His practice also includes care for traumatic brain and spine injuries and sports-related neurosurgical conditions.

Dr. Earl Dane Jones is a neurosurgeon specializing in open cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. He treats stroke, brain aneurysms, and other complex vascular conditions affecting the brain and spine using both minimally invasive and traditional surgical approaches.

Dr. Valentine  Chukwuma, who goes by Dr. Valentine, is a fellowship-trained interventional pain management physician specializing in complex and persistent pain. His individualized approach combines careful evaluation with minimally invasive treatments designed to reduce pain, restore function, and help patients return to the activities that matter most.

Together, these physicians bring advanced training, specialized expertise, and a shared commitment to personalized care. Their arrival reflects Semmes Murphey’s continued growth and longstanding commitment to providing exceptional brain, spine, and neurological care throughout the region.
