
Violiza Inoa
Dr. Violiza Inoa was born in the Dominican Republic, where she attended medical school at the Universidad Iberoamericana and graduated as the top student of her class in 2006. She then went on to serve the Dominican community by organizing multiple medical missions that provided basic care to impoverished populations in rural areas of the country.
Upon moving to the United States in 2009, Dr. Inoa completed her medical internship and neurology residency at the University of Connecticut. From 2013-2014, she participated in a vascular neurology fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by a two-year fellowship in interventional neuroradiology at Hartford Hospital, in Hartford, Connecticut.
Dr. Inoa is a vascular neurology certified physician and serves as an Associate Professor for the neurosurgical residency program at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Inoa is married to Andres A. Ramos, a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. She and her husband have been blessed with a daughter, SofĂa, who was born in December 2013.
