Semmes Murphey Joins Moving Day to Support Local Parkinson’s Community

On September 12, Semmes Murphey sponsored and attended the Parkinson’s Foundation’s Moving Day Memphis walk at Lichterman Nature Center. People living with Parkinson’s disease gathered with family, care partners, and supporters for a day of movement and connection. Dr. Ben Carroll, a functional neurosurgeon at Semmes Murphey, spoke at the event.
 

Parkinson’s is a condition that affects movement and can make everyday activities more difficult. Symptoms vary from person to person and may include tremors, stiffness, and slower movement. While there is no cure, treatments can help people manage symptoms, and continued progress in care offers hope.
