A Well-Deserved Honor: Dr. Violiza Inoa Promoted to Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery

Semmes Murphey Clinic is proud to congratulate Dr. Violiza Inoa on her promotion to Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC).

This recognition reflects Dr. Inoa's outstanding contributions to patient care, education, research, and leadership in brain care. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to advancing stroke care, mentoring physicians, and improving outcomes for patients throughout the Mid-South and beyond.

Dr. Inoa's promotion is also a significant milestone for Semmes Murphey Clinic. She is one of the first female physicians in the clinic's history to attain the rank of full Professor of Neurology, reflecting both her individual accomplishments and the growing impact of women in academic medicine and neuroscience.
