Whitney Gatewood

Whitney grew up in Paragould, Arkansas and decided to enter the medical field when her friends and fellow cheerleaders were seriously injured in a car accident in high school. Watching them heal and recover is what inspired her to go into medicine.

After graduating from Arkansas State University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology, Whitney entered Physician Assistant (PA) School at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. It was in PA school that she developed a strong interest in neurology. Whitney graduated and joined Semmes Murphey Clinic in June 2016.

She and her husband Conner, who is currently a medical student at the University of Tennessee, have lived in Memphis since 2014. In her spare time, Whitney enjoys traveling, yoga, and swimming.
