Semmes Murphey Partners with Explore Bike Share

Semmes Murphey Clinic has partnered with Explore Bike Share to encourage exercise and healthy lifestyles across Memphis.

We are proud to have our very own Bike Share station downtown at Big River Crossing as well as over 30 Semmes Murphey bikes around the city. "The Big Roll Out", or launch, of the program was in June where over 4,000 riders participated in biking in celebration of the launch of the program. Our staff participated in the big day by volunteering to ride the Semmes Murphey bikes from Court Square over to Big River Crossing to welcome the bikes to their new station.

Our station has provided over 3,000 total bike trips and our bikes are utilized 15-20% of those rides. Overall, the program has about 400 monthly members and 181 annual members. Together, those members have ridden over 22,000 bike rides!

We are so excited to be a part of an exciting program. It is truly a remarkable sight to see the new organization benefit from such tremendous early support.
