Todd E. Fountain

Dr. Todd Fountain obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. He worked for a vascular and transplant surgeon as a clinical research assistant where his desire to pursue a career in surgery was established. He began medical school at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi and received the Excellence in Neurosurgery Award as a fourth-year medical student.

His surgical internship and neurosurgical residency were at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. While at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Fountain was awarded the Excellence in Patient Care Award twice and was named the Mayo Clinic Neurological Surgery Resident Teacher of the Year in 2008 and 2009. He completed his neurosurgery residency in June 2009 and is proud to make Memphis his home where he continues to serve the community. He currently serves as Chairman of Neurosurgical Spine at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis.

Dr. Fountain has been married to Rebecca Brown Fountain since 2002.
