Fellowship in Cerebrovascular and
Endovascular Neurosurgery
In conjunction with the University of Tennessee Department of Neurosurgery, the Semmes-Murphey Clinic offers comprehensive fellowship training in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. The course of study for trainees includes the medical, surgical and endovascular management of stroke, arteriovenous malformations, carotid and cerebral occlusive disease, cerebral aneurysms and tumors.
Before starting the fellowship, applicants should have completed residency training in either neurology or neurosurgery and be licensed to practice medicine in the United States. To begin the application process, please send a letter of application and a curriculum vitae to Dr. Adam Arthur, who is the fellowship director. In addition, please have three letters of recommendation sent by people familiar with the applicant and their qualifications. We would prefer that applicants waive their right to see these letters of recommendation. Selected applicants will be invited to interviews in Memphis and the fellowship is typically filled 2-3 years in advance. These materials can be emailed to vascularfellowship@semmes-murphey.com, faxed to 901-259-2010 or sent to Dr. Adam Arthur, Semmes-Murphey Neurologic and Spine Clinic, 6325 Humphreys Blvd, Memphis, TN 38120. Any questions should be directed to Dr. Arthur or to Ms. Sheila Holder at sholder@semmes-murphey.com or 901-522-2672.
